Foreign Trade Consumer Electronics in 2026

In the first half of 2026, China’s foreign trade consumer electronics industry achieved a structural recovery with outstanding export resilience. According to the latest data from the MIIT, the export delivery value of above-scale electronic information manufacturing enterprises increased by 7.8% year-on-year, with the monthly growth rate rising to 12.9% in June, reflecting continuous recovery in overseas market demand. Traditional electronic products maintained steady growth, with TV and integrated circuit exports increasing by 3.1% and 7% respectively, sustaining global market shares with reliable product quality.

The export structure continues to optimize, with growth momentum shifting toward high-end innovative products. While the growth of conventional smartphones and tablets has slowed down, AI PCs, smart wearables, high-definition display devices and foldable terminals have become new core export drivers. Cross-border platform data shows surging overseas demand for high-refresh-rate gaming displays, large-capacity smart devices and lightweight AI hardware, forming profitable growth tracks for small and medium-sized electronic exporters.

Meanwhile, the industry is accelerating upgrades toward standard compliance and high-end manufacturing. New regulations such as the EU Digital Product Passport have pushed domestic exporters to upgrade production processes and improve green supply chains. Industry insiders predict continuous recovery in global consumer electronics demand in the second half of the year. Supported by resumed overseas exhibitions and improved cross-border logistics, Chinese high-end consumer electronics will further capture the global mid-to-high-end market, driving quality and quantity growth of the industry.
